Article 18: How to Organize your Bathroom

Have you already sent photos of your messy bathroom into a home makeover show – just crossing your fingers and hoping they’ll pick your bathroom to makeover and fix-up?

Well, you no longer have to wait for that unlikely call – you can clean up your bathroom yourself. Yes, it may take a little bit of time and a little bit of money, but if you just set one day aside (or even half a day) to improve your bathroom; you’ll be amazed at the difference just you can make.

It’s amazing how messy bathrooms can get. There are just so many supplies that can clutter your bathroom – hairbrushes, toothbrushes, combs, lotions, makeup, washcloths, soap, cotton balls, towels, shampoo, shower gel, razor, and dental floss, just to name a few.

Luckily, there are some wise people out there who have come

up with some great ways to make it easier for you to keep your bathroom clutter free and organized. One simple item that you can buy to clean up your shower is a shower caddy. A shower caddy can just be hung up over the showerhead and can hold all of your shower necessities – shampoo, shower gel, etc. If you have multiple people using the same shower and therefore many multiple items, you may want to consider getting some shower shelves, too. Most shower shelves can be set up easily in the corner of your bathroom and can hold even more stuff.

Even if you have a small bathroom with no storage space, there are still ways to get it organized. There are shelves that you can get that fit right over your toilet. You can easily store your towels and toilet paper on one of these. It is also a good idea to have a medicine cabinet to store not just medicine, but toothpaste and other bathroom items.

If you have just a pedestal sink, you may want to consider getting a cabinet and a counter to put around it to give you even more space. Drawers are very handy places to keep your brushes and makeup.

Once you’ve got all of your clutter picked up and out of the way, not only does your bathroom look nicer, but it is easier to keep so nice, too. When everything has its place, it’s easier to put it away. It is also easier to clean up your bathroom when you don’t have items scattered all around to get in your way.
